As Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the UK Ministry of Defence - Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), Peter is responsible for seamlessly bringing the organisations’ people, technology and processes together through technological transformation, information service delivery and process management and improvement. Working closely with all areas of DIO business Peter ensures information technology continues to add value in delivering DIO business through the e-enablement of efficient and effective processes.


Peter joined the MOD in 1985 with Military Survey and has held roles with the RAF, Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and Defence Estates (now known as DIO).

John TalkingtonMr. John Talkington

Mr. Talkington serves as an associate director in the Office of Planning, Design and Construction as a supervisor for the Facility Investment and Cost Engineering Branch (FICE). John began his career with his Bachelors of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University. John has over 25 years’ experience working in organizations serving cultural properties. He joined the National Park Service where culture property management offered many varied opportunities to explore architecture and engineering project management. He is currently at the Smithsonian Institution where he created a new FICE branch with work processes that support a structured data focused process, to develop prioritized projects with the most credible scopes, schedule, costs and budgets formed early in the planning cycle.


Jim BarlowMr. Jim Barlow

Mr. Barlow manages a portfolio of facility management solutions for the world’s largest museum system including occupational health and safety, hazardous chemical management, and asset reservations. Jim is an early adopter of facilities technology with 20+ years’ experience in process-led business transformation for organizations with large and complex portfolios.  Prior to the Smithsonian, Jim led many of the industry’s largest IWMS implementation programs, most recently for Accenture and Deloitte Consulting.  Jim is a certified TRIRIGA developer.

Kenneth L. KorbaMr. Kenneth L. Korba

Mr.  Korba is currently the Director of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Special Projects Team, responsible for the Agile implementation of Maximo v7.5 across the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). The DVA has a portfolio of over 5,000 buildings. VHA has 153 Medical Center Campuses and over 800 Outpatient Clinics. Mr. Korba has 42 years of Federal Government service including his time in the US Navy. Mr. Korba possesses a Masters Degree in Program and Project Management from George Washington University and has led many IT and non-IT projects across his career.

Mr. Farrell, Ed.D. has over 20 years of experience in higher education and is currently the Director of Facilities at the University of Hartford. He has a doctorate in education with a research-focus related to leveraging physical facilities in service industries toward a competitive advantage.

As Director of Product Management and Strategy, Pete is responsible for the strategic direction and ongoing operations for the Smarter Infrastructure business, including market leading offerings for Enterprise Asset Management, Facilities and Real Estate Management, Endpoint Management, along with Analytics and Mobility solutions.  


Pete has been focused on the discipline of managing and optimizing asset infrastructure since 1994, while a student at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  An engineer by trade, he began his professional career working for a nuclear energy services firm, and then a facilities services provider - developing an interest in software technology that was enabling new possibilities for operational improvement. He has followed this passion since 1999, first with MRO Software and now with IBM.


John SmartMr. John Smart

Mr. Smart has more than 25 years experience in the real estate and smarter city/building arena.  He has provided leadership in all aspects of our solution delivery, from sales, services, product marketing and development.  Prior to his current role, John served as the Vice President of Strategy and Vision for TRIRIGA.  He was charged with the planning and developing the next generation of workplace solutions that has resulted in the TRIRIGA solution awarded as the market leader.  John has been responsible for leading many of our global implementations of the TRIRIGA solution.  John was one of the original founders of TRIRIGA.

For the past few years, Renee has been working with customers in the Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) space, providing an understanding of how TRIRIGA helps them optimize their Property Portfolio throughout its lifecycle.  Prior to her current role on the Smarter Infrastructure team, she spent over a decade supporting the Maximo-based IT Asset & Service Management solutions and has held various roles in the software industry since 1993.

Mr. Burnett serves as Vice President of IWMS solutions for EDI, an IBM business partner and reseller. Troy has been implementing enterprise software solutions for over 20 years and has focused on Facility Management and Sustainability software for over 10 years.




EDIMr. Mark Johnson
TRIRIGA Technical Services Lead


Mr. Johnson currently runs EDI's Tririga Development team. Mark has almost 7 years' experience in developing TRIRIGA solutions in Real Estate Lease, Capital Projects, Facility Assessment, and Space Management. His experience includes performance optimizing Tririga workflows for a variety of clients, teaching the Application Platform I and II classes as well as writing the IBM Tririga Development Certification exams.

Mr. VenHuizen is responsible for providing technical and product leadership for Interloc’s Technical Services and Product Development Divisions. His mission is to foster technology and product innovation with a customer focused delivery. He oversees the technical design and development of every Maximo implementation performed by Interloc, including complex integrations and custom Maximo applications. Jason is also responsible for the Mobile Center of Excellence, providing guidance and fostering innovation for Interloc’s Mobile Informer platform.


Jason is a certified Maximo consultant with demonstrated client focus, project performance and successful implementation capabilities in a variety of industries. Jason is a Maximo veteran, with more than 15 years experience, starting with PSDI in 2000.

Steve was at the forefront of the National Park Service adoption of Maximo decades ago and remains active with NPS, DOI and other DIT customers.

Mr. James has been a TRIRIGA application consultant with IBM and Serco Inc. for a combined 5 years. Prior to focusing on software implementations, he gained a lot of experience as a facility/manufacturing engineer in the pharmaceutical sector and doing contractor support work for the U.S. Department of Energy performing energy auditing and sustainability assessments. He was a key factor in the development of the GSAlink system, providing insight in the energy field and how to value improvements in efficiency related to actionable items detected by the system. Currently he is overseeing a roll out of TRIRIGA for the Defense Contract Audit Agency related to Lease and Real Estate management with hoteling and reservations functionality.

Mr. May is a certified safety professional with 22 years’ experience in the risk management profession, the past seven with the National Park Service (NPS). Mr. May has collaborated with the National Park Service’s Park Facility Management Division (PFMD) since 2008 to implement the risk assessment code (RAC) system.

Jennifer’s IBM TRIRIGA implementations at the Smithsonian include lock and key management, event support request and work management, facility services reimbursements and invoicing, and mobile work task management.

Most recently, her focus has been on process improvement and reporting as well as training Maximo users throughout the University.
